He was a sk8er boi, she said see you later boy... The number one lyric us nineties children all know by heart as soon as we hear the first notes of that famous guitar riff! Sk8er Boi was probably one of my fave songs ever in my teens (aaaafter Complicated , Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day and I Miss You by Blink 182) and YUP I still listen to it from time to time. As in: weekly. Sometimes. Although I never managed to stand up on a riding skateboard, I totally idolized Avril Lavigne with her oversized trousers, striped tie, stack of spiked bracelets and skate caps. They say that every trend comes back in fashion, so why not go for an updated Avril...
