Countdown

The end of December is filled with countdowns. Four days to Christmas, to getting all that shopping and wrapping and baking and cleaning done. Then just as soon as it's over, we start counting down the last days of the year. We plan more celebrations, we countdown the final minutes. We look for fresh starts and new beginnings. We think about what we could do better next year. We plan, we imagine possibilities, and then we find ourselves counting down, all over again.
