Saturday Adventures Last Saturday was full of fun and adventures, as my friend Jochen and I wandered around the countryside. Our first stop was not planned, but we came across a random shed with a sign saying it was the site of the original McLaughlin homestead (i.e. Robert McLaughlin, the founder of McLaughlin Carriage and McLaughlin Motor Car Company, which would later become General Motors). We stopped and had a look. The shed was filled with several beautiful old carriages! Next stop was Tyrone Mills, which is Canada's oldest operating water-powered mill.
