Ugo Rondinone's Seven Magic Mountains in Nevada
I was ecstatic to get the opportunity to stop at the Seven Magic Mountains on the way to Las Vegas last month; seven vibrant rock totem poles stand in a vast stretch of Mojave desert landscape. It is an art installation created by artist Ugo Rondinone and it is open to the public for viewing. It was exciting to drive on empty road leading up to the installation and see a small glimpse of the neon rocks while we were approaching the entrance. After parking and making a short trek to the artwork, I was in awe to actually see and experience the towering size of the rock structures.
