Last night I ran into Jan, a family friend I haven’t spoken to in a long time. (He owns Ila Puti restaurant, which you really should try the next time you’re in Cebu- get the Unimami Pasta or the Stroganoff!) He said he enjoys my posts and that he and my mom were BFFs on Facebook. (My mom is the social media queen of her barkada, she even has hashtags for her own travels lol) He was telling me about how he admired my mom’s disposition towards life- how she was living it for herself, doing what she loves without thinking too much about what other people thought.
