A few years back, my good friend Heather and I were chatting about dream trips — places in the world we had been dying to see. At the time, she and I had just gotten back from Turkey and loved every minute of being immersed in a culture so unlike our own — so much so, that we were craving something crazier and even further away for our next international trip together.
