Please Stop Doing This ONE THING (and Finally Achieve Those Goals!)

When I was 16 years old, I won the title of “Oregon Soccer Referee of the Year”.  And although my brother is still convinced I won because the voters were fellow referees who were 99% males in their mid-forties, I was very proud of that award. I don’t even remember why I quit being a referee a couple years later other than the fact that I was playing club and high school sports + had another part-time job + and I wanted to spend time with my high school boyfriend.  I loved being a referee in a weird way (being a teenage girl and giving an adult male with a sexist potty mouth a red card is incredibly empowering you guys) but...
