Velvet Blazers Aren’t Just for the Boys

The title really says it all – velvet blazers aren’t really just for the boys! After last week’s merlot colored dress I must have something for the wine hues because this deep claret blazer – a color even named after red table wine produced in the Bordeaux region of France – hits all the right notes for me with it’s deep purplish red color. At least half a dozen wore nice velvet blazers to my 4,000 person holiday party and while I opted for this black off the shoulder dress this blazer would have fit right in. I decided to pair it with all black for this look to really let it stand out but couldn’t resist throwing...
