What stuck out to me the most was how proud the people of Mexico City were of their city. They would come right up to us on the streets and tell us how much they loved it. You could see how the locals gathered when music was played on the streets. The Palacio Nacionale filled mostly with local Mexican people at night, going into the church, or just standing outside and admiring the beauty of the old architecture. The art, the history, the food. You can tell that the people that all these things belong to appreciate it down to the bone. And that is a very beautiful thing to see in a country that has had, and still has, a lot of political hardship. In Mexico...
