Do y’all remember Amish Friendship Bread ? In case you aren’t familiar with this recipe – a friend gives you a small starter batch of ingredients you have to stir and feed over a period of 10 days and at the end of that time period you divide out your starter into fourths (because it has grown with all of the feeding and the yeast) and take one fourth to bake your bread, save one fourth for your next batch, and give away the remaining two fourths to friends to make their own batches.
