New Zealand Road Trip: Part One
Because getting to Australia takes an approximately zillion-hour-long flight, we felt like we might as well visit New Zealand while we were over there, doing a week in each country. So on Sunday, a week after we arrived in Sydney, we flew out to Auckland, New Zealand! As you might know, New Zealand is made up of two islands—the North Island and the South Island. Because we were visiting in August, it was actually the tail end of “winter” down there, so we decided to stick with the north island, which would be warmer as it’s closer to the equator.
