Before starting the description of day 3, I want to spend few words on the Japan Rail Pass. If you visit Japan, you must take it in advance, it is a 7/14/21days train pass. You will save so much money that it is essential! You can buy the tickets HERE , then you will get a voucher at home, and you will exchange the voucher with the JRpass when you arrive in Japan. If you get the 7days train pass, like we did, day 3 is the right time to activate it. For the 1one-day trip outside Tokyo 90% of the guides suggest Nikko or Hakone or Kamakura.
