The Flawless 18-Year-Old Sweater
I have had this Banana Republic sweater for 18 years. And it is still flawless. No pilling. No stains. No loose threads. On a whim, this past week, I checked the tag. It confirmed it was made for the Spring 2002 season. (I love that BR posts the date on their tags!) And it is made of 74% wool and 26% cotton. I used to think that cashmere and merino sweaters were the holy grail of longevity, but not any more. Not only does this sweater stand the test of time, but it also stands the test of fashion. Flattering v-neck. Timeless dark camel/caramel color. Understated ribbed texture. 3/4-length sleeves. Crop length. I don't know what else makes this...
