A Day Like This
A day spent in various lines getting necessary errands.
A day spent in crowds that are staying 6ft apart from each other. A day spent dealing with senseless people crowding me. A day spent where people have forgotten how to be people to each other. A day spent listening to them bicker. A day spent listening to whining. A day spent with non-stop people noise and business.
This day was too much. I’d had enough. I longed for an empty house and a quiet brook. I longed for a little solitude.
Ironic.
