A Walk With a Friend

It was hot. I mean heat advisory hot and humid. I drove out. In traffic. It annoyed me. So, hoping to make it more than just a short visit, I asked to do her nature walk. She agreed. An hour later we walked into the shoppe to get our iced coffees: sweaty (us), very dirty (me). But I wasn’t annoyed. And it was well worth the drive out. Sometimes all you need is that walk in nature with a good friend to focus you…and not just because she walks FAST. And you pay attention or get lost in the dust.
