Well poo. The day predicted rain, rain, and then severe thunderstorms.
Thankfully, the morning was dry, and I managed to sneak in a trail run and a long swim, followed by tea and reading on the dock. So, by the time the rain actually started and we had to move inside I didn’t feel like I had missed out.
Though the weather sucked and we were forced inside, Ed – my best friend’s fiance – had organized the most indulgent meal for dinner. Lots of delicious goodies were had, followed by more delicious goodies for dessert, and delightful wine. So yeah, adequate compensation for the weather, I’d say.
