It is clearly a child's dress from the 1980's and the hem draped almost to my ankles. Although the proportions are a little funny on me, (the waist sits just below my breasts and the sleeves are a little short,) I was absolutely enamoured with the wide sailor collar and velvet trim. (The buttons are velvet, too!) After a quick trip to the tailor, this abandoned piece has been transformed into a SASSY AND ADORABLE MINI-DRESS. Amazing what a little hemming will do! I can't wait to...
