Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by the portrait of Catherine Parr . Since it’s the summer, I had to think a bit differently about my outfit, and in the end, I went with this black-and-red combo. My skirt is obviously a nod to the red of her gown, and the ruffles on my top are a weather-appropriate reference to the intricate embroideries and the other trimming. And of course, I had to add a brooch to reflect her pearls and the feather in her headdress as well. All in all, I’m happy with how the outfit turned out.
