At The Edge Of The Yard
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by William-Adolphe’s Bouguereau ‘s “At the Edge of the Brook”. I struggled with this a bit because I don’t have anything in the same shade of purple as the girl’s skirt, and the stripes gave me pause too. In the end, I went with this purple top and this skirt, because the red flowers embroidered around the hem remind me of the girl’s wreath, and paired them with my strappy heels as a nod to the stripes.
