SIA: Dragonfly Helmet
Welcome to another SIA challenge! This week, our inspiration is the 17th-century Japanese exotic helmet in the shape of a dragonfly, and here are the outfits:
First up is my co-host, Shelbee , who focused on the reddish color of the rope tie on the helmet – her paisley-printed dress and rope sandals are all nods to that, and she doesn’t have anything with dragonflies, so she wore a butterfly robe instead. It’s an unexpected but beautiful interpretation:
Rather than going literal with her outfit, my other co-host, Marsha , went with a warrior-princess vibe, which I think is such a fun way to interpret this:
