Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by Paul Meltsner’s Earth and Sky . It’s still too warm to be wearing this corduroy waistcoat, but when I saw the painting, I knew I’d have to wear it, because it’s such a perfect imitation of the rows of wheat and the man’s straw hat. I paired it with my blue dress for the “sky” bit, and my maroon shoes for the darker brown of the equipment/barn/tree in the background. I also added my “wheat sheaf” brooch for an extra touch.
