I’m continuing my nautical-themed books this month, with one exception, so here goes:
The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi by S.A. Chakraborty:
I’m still on my quest to find more books featuring female pirates, but I think with this one, I’ve found a contender. Revolving around a retired pirate captain who was hired to find the granddaughter of a rich woman, and set in a world based on 12th-century Arabia, with demons and sorcerers and other supernatural creatures, it’s reminiscent of the classic tales of Sinbad from Arabian Nights .
