I only managed 3 books this month, but one of them is gigantic, so here we are: How to be a Victorian by Ruth Goodman: I’ve enjoyed the author’s other book ( How to be a Tudor ), so I decided to pick up her other book in the same series. This follows the same structure as the Tudor book, looking at Victorian everyday life from dawn till dusk. It flows better than the Tudor book and doesn’t get bogged down by too many minute details, but since knowledge about Victorian life is already widely accessible, it’s not as fascinating. Still, it’s a fun, quick read. If the author writes another, I’ll definitely check it out. 4/5...
