Blazing Away

I don’t usually layer in the summer – it’s too hot and humid for that, and the old long-sleeve shirt or cardigan I keep in my office to shield from the sun/the AC doesn’t count. But we just had some rain (thank God! The heatwave was over!), and the cooler temperature makes this the perfect time to bring out this linen blazer (another hand-me-down from my sister). It’s a great addition to my summer wardrobe, since it’s light enough for a top layer. My only complaint is that the linen wrinkles like crazy in the humidity, no matter how carefully I steam/iron it before putting it on. I have to learn to embrace the wrinkles, I guess....
