There are certain places in the world that almost don't feel real until you're standing in front of them. The Louvre Museum in Paris is one of those places for me. I'd seen it countless times in books, films and travel documentaries, yet nothing prepared me for walking into its enormous courtyard and seeing the famous glass pyramid sparkling beneath the Parisian sky. That was what I felt the first time I ever saw it but by the time I was taking these pictures, I had been to the Louvre several times already.
