Before I would alter skirts and pants, but wearing skirts is now impossible if I don't want to show what is meant to be hidden. Actually you supposedly can ride a step-in scooter with a skirt, but it can not be a mini skirt or a tight skirt (which represents 97% of my skirt/dress arsenal)- I don't feel like trying it just yet.
