Jean-Paul Lespagnard invited us to discover his fifth collection "Maatjes" at the Gaité Lyrique. Inspired by a Dutch girl in the Rotterdam region, a fan of motocross that wears her best clothes to join her lover who comes back from fishing maatjes (young herring, a Dutch culinary tradition) Belgian designer mixes fishing and motorcycles worlds shawl collars, finishings, shapes and volumes from traditional costume, that are mingled with shapes and details coming from the world of sportswear.
