This pretty dress from Lands' End ( similar ) is conservative in shape and print/color. It can go anywhere, from work to a wedding, to Mother's Day lunch. It is a perfect length, washable, flattering - all the good starting points. Twenty years ago, when my independent style was just a whisper, I would have added neutral hose and black mid-heel pumps and gelled my fuzzy hair.
