Lucy and Gauguin
Arearea by Gauguin The flowers on this dress reminded me of the tropics, which reminded me of Gauguin's Polynesian Islands paintings. I looked up Gaugin's work and found this one with the dog, which reminded me of my dog, Lucy. Lucy has been having a hard time lately. I believe it all started with the night the baby was born. We were up almost all night and she didn't get much sleep. My mom, my sister, and two midwives were also here and they all knocked on the door when they arrived. Lucy hates it when people knock on the door. She barks and barks to try to keep the intruders away. Since that night, we've had many more visitors...
