White Collar & Cuff Shift Dress / Oversized Pearl Drop Earrings

Hello all! There's something rather regal about this pearl collar. I can't quite put my finger on why - perhaps because it's because if I look at these photos and squint it looks a bit like I'm wearing an Elizabethan Ruff . (I actually think they look awesome but apparently it's not socially acceptable to wear a ruff to Tesco ...yet.) I've always been a fan of 60s style dresses, but due to their 'straight up and down' shape, I've previously avoided the 'shift' shape like the plague because of my distinctly un-Twiggy-esque figure (damn you, big bum). So I was pleasantly surprised when I really liked the look of this dress...
