That's Not My Name

I've always liked my name. I don't know why that sounds vain to say but I'm pretty OK with Alissa. Despite the fact that people never spell it right and call me: Melissa, Lisa, Allison, Elisa, Allie and my favorite, Elizabeth. Yes, one woman, even after I said it slowly 5 times, called me Elizabeth. I give her a pass though because she was old and rocking a fabulous fur coat. I've had to explain how to say my name like this, "It's like Melissa but drop the m and the m and then add an a." Despite how complicated that sounds people instantly get it.
