B and I spent our anniversary dinner at Fabio Trabocchi's Fiola , which was lovely and romantic, as expected. ( But dare I say I might actually prefer his slightly more casual restaurant, Casa Luca , just a little more? ) Highlights included the Burrata with Spanish Sardines, Spaghetti Nero Frutti di Mare, and the Sardinian Ricotta Doughnuts with Espresso Gelato. Anyway, for whatever reason I thought a mostly black ensemble with a mixture of gold chains would be an appropriate way to commemorate the occasion. B's reaction was "oooo, vampire!" (in a good way). After all these years he still gets me :-). vintage Givenchy sunglasses ...
