Travel: Postcards from Amsterdam

As I mentioned in my post last week I recently spent less than 24 hours in Amsterdam. The trip was wonderful, but a flight in one afternoon and another flight out the next morning left very little time for sight-seeing. Still I got up at 6am the morning of my flight for a quick breakfast and walking tour by Theresa of House of Eleonore--even through drooping eyelids Amsterdam was so gorgeous in the early morning light. My brief visit makes me excited to go again back one day and truly explore the city; next time I want pancakes, museums, flower markets, and maybe even a wooden shoe or two.
