I have worn glasses or contacts as long as I can remember. I couldn't have been much older than 6 when I got to pick out my first pair. I begged my mom to let me get thick red framed glasses with confetti on the sides, but since she didn't hate my guts she said "no". My self-esteem still thanks her to this day. I ditched the glasses when I was 12 and have been wearing contacts daily since 7th grade. I typically just wear glasses in transit from the bathroom to my bed, so I hadn't bothered to get a new pair in almost 8 years. I had flirted with the idea of going through an online retailer to cut costs, but since my prescription is so strong the costs...
