The silver lining
I believe it was the year 2000. I was eight. Or about to turn eight. 'Freestyler' from the Bombfunk MC's was my favorite song, I knew the first 151 Pokémons by heart and platform shoes were the bomb diggity. I remember that I had a pair. They were baby blue, buffalo-style and horrible, but I loved them.
