My life forever changed the moment I became a mother. Though it was nearly 13 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday. When they first placed my daughter in my arms, I felt so overjoyed and yet fearful at the same time (read her birth story here ). I have always had a very focused, driven and tenacious personality...but when she was born, something in me softened and I realized that I would ever be the same.
