Weekend waves
Over the weekend I went to the Milford Connecticut Oyster Festival, an occasion I deemed just right to bring out the hip bag. I always appreciate that the festival books real bands rather than cover bands for the entertainment, and this year The Blue Oyster Cult played. Admittedly I knew only two of their songs, but they played well and I enjoyed the show. The only downside is that standing room only at 2:00 p.m. under the hot sun is not very fun. I'm not sure why they don't have the bands go on in the evening, in fact the whole thing, carnival rides, food, vendors and all is wrapped up by 6:00 p.m. the same day. So naturally after the festival, since it was still plenty...
