Haven Of Peace On Stilts
How about a hotel that takes you by cart to your room… that is built on stilts over water? Yes, that is the Palafitte hotel ! I was invited to spend a night at the hotel and the stay started with a most friendly welcome by the amazing staff. Now for a few amazing facts. Palafitte is the only hotel in Europe that is built on stilts with 24 pavilions extending out over the Neuchâtel Lake and 12 pavilions on the shore (known here as “lakeshore pavilions”).
