farewell 2016
Today, I rose out of bed with a sore throat. If I don't feel better tomorrow, then I may very well wander into the year of 2017 without a grin or desire to do anything but sleep. It wouldn't be the first time I fell ill while everybody else was planning to celebrate. I imagine it won't be the last, but this is life and once you're sick, there is no poem you could write, no medicine you could take and no song you could sing that would reverse time and return you to your former 'not' sick self.
