spring picnic at the State Arboretum of Virginia
A few photos from a little family escape to the country not too long ago. B and I decided to continue our spring tradition of picnicking at Blandy Farm (A.K.A. the State Arboretum of Virginia) and this time our son was old enough to enjoy it! As we do every year, we started at the Locke Store to pick up sandwiches and snacks before heading over to the Arboretum. Let me tell you, this place is really Northern Virginia’s best-kept secret. It’s hardly ever crowded, no matter how lovely the weather is. We set up our lunch in the shaded picnic area and only saw one other family the whole time we were there! If you’re looking...
