from scrap to skirt.
blouse: from modswap, modcloth shoes: BCBG from tj maxx skirt: handmade remember that dress i made a couple of weeks ago? well, i had a bit of fabric left over and i didn't want to let it go to waste or take up space in my craft closet. my mom gave me this pattern when i first expressed interest in learning how to sew using patterns. it was very simple; there were only 5 pieces to cut and the directions were very simple. i thought it needed some jazzing up and added the braided trim on the waistband and on the pockets. it took forever - i had to hand sew all of the braided trim on so that you wouldn't be able to see the stitches from the outside. i really love how...
