Seoul: Bongeunsa Temple

If you find yourself up early in Gangnam, try checking out Bongeunsa Temple, a Buddhist temple founded in 794. It’s just across the street from COEX Mall. Part of it was under construction when we visited, but there were still a lot of things to appreciate. I’ve always found dancheong (Korean traditional decorative coloring on wooden buildings) to be beautiful, especially against the autumn foliage.
