Poodles, petticoats & pincurls! Today's look is 1950's femininity, inspired by Betty Grable as Loco Dempsey in How to Marry a Millionaire. Betty's platinum poodle hair, blue day dress, and pink petticoat has always been one of my favorite outfits from golden age film. I was delighted to find that Zoe Vine's Vivian Dress provided a similar aesthetic, so I recreated my own version of Betty's sophisticated daywear ensemble. This ruched fit and flare frock is one of my new favorites - I adore the neckline, color and silhouette... exactly what I reach for in the Fall and will make a beautiful holiday dress as well!
