Weak In The Knees: Eilen Jewell
Image Via: Here How do you describe an artist that is part jazz, part rockabilly, part blues, and part country? You call it Eilen Jewell and move on. This Boston based balladeer has been recording since 2006, but I first laid my ears on Jewell when her rendition of "Shakin All Over" was featured on an episode of True Blood (which I only watch for the articles...errr music...errr naked Alexander Skarsgård). After hearing that tune and not being able to get this lady's voice out of my head, I purchased her latest release "Queen of the Minor Key" and never looked back. This album, along with every other album, is basically a musical cracker jack box. You never know...
