What we wore in 1938

{1938 Picnic outfits} Here's what Ruth and I wore to the picnic. She borrowed her outfit from my closet, the jumper being from Fab Gabs, and the blouse thrifted, originally from H&M. I was really surprised when I found the blouse and saw the label, it's the perfect late 30s design, in the perfect colors and print. When I wear it to threads I'll have to make a pattern from it, I just love finding modern pieces that can fit in a vintage wardrobe so well. I made my dress combining the patterns for the skirt of a 30s outfit, and the top from a late 30s/early 40s dress. The bakelite necklace and bracelet are both from Expo, I thought the necklace especially appropriate...
