i finished listening to this amazing marriage series, (highly recommend it by the way, whether you’re married or single) so i started in on another series, called the seven. it’s about the seven churches in revelation. the piece i can’t stop thinking about is pastor mark’s description of john. his life as a follower of Christ was inspiring enough. but then he got to the part where close-to-100-year-old john wouldn’t stop talking about Jesus, so he was boiled. alive. in oil. and.he.didn’t.die. so they exiled him to a cave on a rocky island. how’s that for a bad day/month/year? even then, john stayed faithful. friends,...
