Nice
A friend said to me recently, “You can’t make things nice, they either are or aren’t.”
It’s well said. You can’t force a
situation or an experience to be nice, in trying to do so, you end up
ignoring things or pushing them aside. And in reality that can’t
happen, so what you end up with is something a lot, lot worse. It’ll
either be nice or it won’t, but neither takes away from the
legitimacy of the experience.
Point is, it’s not in your control –
our control over the world and others is purely a self-delusion.
