How Calling Off My Wedding Helped Me Find Who I Am
October 5, 2019 we were supposed to get married. Instead, October 5, 2019 I woke up alone. For me there were no dogs, no fiance, just silence. I reached stretched my hands above my head and took a deep breath. It was pouring rain. I thought to myself, “Can you imagine what an epic meltdown I would be having if I was getting married right now?” I had wanted it to rain ever since we broke up. All I wanted was for October 5th to be gone. It was tormenting me that so much had changed, I lived a completely different life and yet October 5th still hadn’t come yet. It felt like a weight on my chest. But that morning I was free from it.
