Out of this World
How many times have you heard someone say, “Wow, we're living in the future!” when they see new tech roll out? There are moments when we all stand amazed at how quickly technology has advanced. But most of the time, fancy gadgets aside, if this is “the future” I am pretty underwhelmed by it. We might have cooler tech, no question about that, but in so many other aspects of life it seems like we're taking some major steps backward. I think I could do without all the gadgets and gizmos in favor of all that utopic world peace that so many classic sci-fi promised and if I couldn't have that I'd settle for living on other planets. ...
