Detour Ahead

It was a beautiful warm spring morning, huge gray clouds were moving across the horizon and the sunlight streaming through made the greens greener and the mountains an impossibly deep blue. And I might not have noticed it all if I hadn't taken a wrong turn this morning. The road work that plagues the highways all summer long has begun early this year and my normal commute now includes a detour that adds 20 minutes to my route.
